Patricia Wages Hudson, 69, of Roanoke Rapids, died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at her daughter’s home.

Mrs. Hudson was born in Marion, NC and was preceded in death by her husband Tommie Lee Hudson who died Saturday, April 11, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Blain Yates; her parents, Clyde Bilby Wages and Ruth Seagle Wages; her step mother, Asilee Wages; and her special mother, Tink Morris.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Hudson Porch and her husband, Andy, of Roanoke Rapids, and Teresa Hudson Cherry and her husband, Michael, of Colonial Heights, Va.; two sons, Rodney Yates and his wife, Brenda, of Rocky Mount, and Dale Grant Yates of Roanoke Rapids; grand-children, Andrea Porch, Wayne Ray Parker, Shawn Michael Yates, Danielle Nicole Yates, Chassie Porch, Ryan Seth Pittman, Jonathan Cherry, Madison Cherry, Travis Osborn, and Anderson Blaine Porch; two sisters, Carolyn Wright and her husband, Jim, of Jacksonville, FL, and Gail Hillian and her husband, Rick, of Vermillion, Ohio; two brothers, Ray Wages and his wife, Helen, of Rocky Mount, and Joe Elvis Wages and his wife, Glenda, of Burlington; a special sister, Madelyn Jeffcoat; and several neices and nephews.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends on Monday, April 13, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, April 14, at 2:00 p.m., with Minister Billy Meinsen and Minister J. Paul Furrow officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
